Fear the Week. Not the Dentist.
Sharks have an infinite supply of teeth. While we only get two sets, sharks can go through 30,000 to 40,000 teeth in a lifetime! Their teeth are in rows and when a tooth falls out, another one moves forward. Shark skin is also made of teeth. Thousands of dermal denticles cover the skin and because they are tiny tooth-like structures, they help sharks swim fast, quietly, and reduce friction. In addition, varied species have teeth uniquely adapted to their diets. Some are serrated, more triangular, flat, or curved. Keep your bite as strong as a shark's!
