What's the difference between a bridge and an implant?

Dental implants are different from traditional bridges as they can replace a single missing tooth and not affect adjacent teeth. A dental implant acts as an artificial tooth root preserving the bone structure and stimulating bone growth helping to maintain proper facial support. Whereas bridges, generally attached to the teeth on either side of the missing space, does not prevent further bone loss.
