At our dental office in the Highlands neighborhood, we accept most types of major dental insurance, and we’re happy to file your dental insurance claims for you. We just ask that you pay your deductible and co-pay at the time of service.
Dental insurance coverage varies widely from plan to plan, and it’s largely determined by what you (or your employer) are paying for the coverage. Some dental plans are more generous than others, both in the scope of which dental treatments and procedures they’ll cover and in the percentage that they’ll reimburse. Our front office staff is happy to help you evaluate your dental insurance plan. We will help you determine what types of treatments and procedures will be covered and at what rates. For comprehensive dental treatment, we can file a “predetermination of benefits” on your behalf, which will give you a commitment from the insurance company as to what will be covered and what will be your responsibility.
Most dental insurance plans operate on a standard calendar year (January 1 – December 31) and have a cap as to how much they’ll pay out each year. Toward the end of the calendar year, it’s a good idea to maximize your dental insurance benefits. If you don’t use them, they can’t be carried over into the next year.
If you need to spread out your payments over a period of time to ensure the cost of treatment fits into your budget, we are pleased to offer CareCredit as a third-party financing option. You can fill out your application directly online, and we will be available to help in any way we can.
Other Payment Options
In addition to our other insurance and third-party financing options, we also accept cash, checks, and major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
