Dental Implants

A dental implant is a titanium “root” that is anchored to the jaw and serves as a base for a realistic artificial tooth. Implants can be used to fill a gap left by missing teeth or serve as a foundation for an entire mouthful of removable dentures.

The process takes about six months from the placement of the implant to the fabrication of the new tooth or teeth.

The Benefits: Dental implants are extremely strong, durable and natural looking. Most people can’t tell the difference between their implants and their real teeth.

If you need a complete mouth restoration, implants represent a huge improvement over traditional dentures. Unlike dentures, which can be painful and difficult to manage, implants make it possible for you to eat, speak and appear as if you still had your natural teeth. If properly cared for, implants can last a lifetime.

Additional Details: The upfront costs of implants are higher than traditional bridges or dentures, but implants tend to be better looking, more convenient and longer lasting over the long-term.
