Crowns
Covering the top of a tooth like a hat, a crown repairs cracked or badly decayed teeth.
To create a crown, the dentist clears away the damage and takes an impression of the preparation. The crown is then created by a laboratory and permanently cemented into place on the preparation.
The Benefits: By repairing a tooth before the problem gets worse, a crown can prevent a root canal or the ultimate removal of the tooth. Crowns are extremely durable.
