Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays are more comfortable and create only a fraction of the radiation of traditional film X-rays.

With digital X-rays, there’s no more biting on slabs of cardboard, instead a sensor is placed next to your teeth to capture the Xray image. In the same way a digital camera displays an immediate picture, digital X-rays allow the dentist or technician to upload X-ray images of your mouth to a large screen in front of you. This way, you and your doctor can discuss—and view—what’s happening in your mouth.

The Benefits: X-rays help illuminate any tooth, gum and mouth problems that can’t be discerned with the naked eye. Cysts, tumors, bone loss, problems below the gum line and decay between teeth—all these issues might require X-ray images for proper diagnosis.
